Previously we’ve working with BuildZone, LABC and various Architects/Surveyors providing ‘Professional Consultant Certificates’ for the projects but since joining the Federation of Mater Builders we have been recommending utilising their ‘Council of Mortgage Lenders Approved’ 10-Year New Home Structural Warranty
Since working with a Project Architect on a major contract administration, we now really champion the ‘project architect’ approach to our clients, how it works is that for a small project administration fee, the client pays the contract monies to Architect’s Client Account [a separate account, just like a solicitor] and they then release funds from photo-based site valuation visits. This reduces stress so much through the chain that we can not recommend it as a preferred choice enough.
